Things always heat up in July and the same can be said for Las Vegas’ own Sandy Kastel
(www.sandykastel.com). Her debut album This Time Around is set for release on July 10th (via Morada Distribution, 1-800-376-2700). The album features her renditions of standard classics originally recorded by such legends as Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Wayne Newton, Peggy Lee, Johnny Mathis, Dinah Washington, Celine Dion and Judy Garland.

Kastel is making waves across the country and cyberspace with her smoky rendition of “Beyond The Sea” which has been lighting up the FMQB Adult Contemporary radio Chart. The song recently hit #14 on the chart. “Beyond The Sea” is the first single from Kastel’s debut album This Time Around.

Part of the album marketing campaign is a Direct Response TV spot with none other than legendary TV host Robin Leach of “Lifestyles of The Rich & Famous.” Mr. Leach appeared to promote the fact that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the album benefits Children’s Miracle Network (www.cmn.org).

Kastel plans to journey to her Nashville home June 21st – July 9th, where she will collaborate with songwriters and get together with her arranger Tom Howard and jazz pianist Pat Coil to make preparations for upcoming appearances to promote her CD. She’ll return to Las Vegas on July 10th to celebrate the release of her album This Time Around that was recorded in Nashville and Las Vegas with Nashville based producer Dan Posthuma, who has worked with Debby Boone, Shirley Caesar, Crystal Lewis and Bryan Duncan.

In an innovative marketing campaign, Kastel has been promoting her album at major racetracks around the country through her sponsorship of 3 time NHRA champion race car driver and winner of 63 National Events, David Rampy. Look for Kastel’s picture and logo on Rampy’s trailer, car and uniform as he competes on the National Drag Race  Circuit. Kastel, along with Rampy and his top performing cars are visiting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in select cities along the NHRA route.
