FORMER MISS NEVADA & MISS AMERICA TALENT WINNER’S RECENTLY RELEASED DEBUT ALBUM 'THIS TIME AROUND' FEATURES RENDITIONS OF CLASSICS ORIGINALLY RECORDED BY LEGENDS SUCH AS FRANK SINATRA, BOBBY DARIN, PEGGY LEE AND ELLA FITZGERALD

Nashville/Las Vegas resident Sandy Kastel (www.sandykastel.com) already has plenty of Labor Day weekend plans.  The singer/songwriter will be performing at the 18th Annual Franklin Jazz Festival on the Jazz Stage, 7:00 - 8:00 PM in historic downtown Franklin, Tennessee. The festival is one of the longest running jazz festivals in the South and last year drew an estimated 10,000 people to the two day event.

Kastel is a true “Nash-Vegas” resident with homes in both Las Vegas and Nashville where she recorded her recently released CD This Time Around (via Morada Distribution and 1-800-376-2700).  The album features her sparkling versions of standard classics originally recorded by such legends as Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald Wayne Newton, Peggy Lee, Johnny Mathis, Dinah Washington, Celine Dion and Judy Garland.

Kastel has been making waves across national radio and cyberspace with her smoky rendition of “Beyond The Sea” which lit up the FMQB Adult Contemporary radio Chart. The song recently hit #14 on the chart.  “Beyond The Sea” is the first single from Kastel’s debut album This Time Around

In an innovative marketing campaign, Kastel has been promoting her album at major racetracks around the country through her sponsorship of 3 time NHRA champion race car driver and winner of 66 National Events, David Rampy. Look for Kastel’s picture and logo on Rampy’s trailer, car and uniform as he competes on the National Drag Race Circuit. Kastel’s album also benefits the Children’s Miracle Network.
